To make these Circle Vases I came up with an adapted inlay technique which utilizes a press-mold to expedite the tedious carving portion of inlaid work. The majority of these works are made from stained porcelain and porcelain slip, though many are also pressed from stoneware.

Through this series, I am experimenting in surface decoration and exploring the many applications of this press-molded form. The first application has been functional table-top and wall-mounted vases. Another application can now be seen in the Silverside Lamps.
